Job description

This position is located in the Pipe Shop, Facility Management Service of the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Hospital, Hines, IL. The primary purpose of this position is to provide Pipefitting / Plumbing Services.

Duties

The incumbent is assigned to the Pipefitting Unit. The incumbent repairs or installs pipefitting systems (including high-pressure systems); cutting, threading, soddering and cementing joints on black and cast iron and galvanized steel, copper, brass, P.V.C. Piping, and clay drainage tile.
