Job summary

Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration, a design‑build contractor specializing in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems in the Upper Midwest, is seeking qualified pipefitters who share our core values: Safety First, Quality People, Quality Product, and Ethical Behavior. With offices in Marshall, MN, Sauk Rapids, MN, and Sioux Falls, SD, we are growing our team.

You’ll read blueprints, perform field layouts, install piping, and collaborate with apprentices and supervisors to meet project

Qualifications

• Prior pipefitting experience required; on-the-job training available for qualified candidates.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform job-related math.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel and work 45–50 hours per week, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work with pipefitters, apprentices, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for refrigeration system installation.
• Use math and measurement skills to perform accurate field layouts.
• Install hangers, brackets, and stands according to specifications.
• Prep pipes for welding using power and hand tools.
• Use fitting tools to ensure proper installation.
• Operate telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Work in industrial settings, including food processing and manufacturing plants.
• Maintain, clean, and organize tools and work areas.
• Identify faulty equipment or defective materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
