Job summary

Fincantieri Marine Group - Marinette Marine in Marinette, WI is seeking a Marine Piping Technician to remove, repair, lay out, fabricate, install, and test complex piping systems aboard vessels in accordance with drawings and standards.

Responsibilities include working with auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, and other system components, using shop equipment to fabricate and test, and performing quality control procedures for safety and compliance.

• Work with auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel oil, lube oil, and engine exhaust systems per drawings and standards.
• Utilize shop equipment and tooling such as table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment as part of fabrication and repair activities.
• Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks as part of quality control and safety procedures.

Overview

Responsible for removing, repairing, targeting, laying out, fabricating, installing, and testing marine piping systems including auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel oil, lube oil, engine exhaust, and related systems in accordance with work item specifications, military standards, drawings, and other regulatory standards such as ABS and Military Sealift Command.
