Job summary

EMCOR Services Combustioneer in Lanham, MD is seeking an experienced pipefitter responsible for layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems in an industrial setting. The role involves working with boilers, chillers, air-handler units, cooling towers, and related equipment.

The position is covered by the CBA - Local 602, offering competitive salary and benefits consistent with the union agreement.

Qualifications

• At least three years Pipefitter experience in Industrial Construction setting.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Must be able to utilize electronic devices for daily communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms
• Assist pipe fitter with installation of the piping system to include boilers, chillers, air-handler units, cooling towers etc.
• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
