Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $32.00/hr

The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining building service piping, related to water, waste water, steam, compressed air/gases, and chemistry delivery into buildings across Kodak Rochester NY Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install, and improve building system equipment and general systems (includes process piping, building service piping, pneumatics, and hydraulics) to Kodak standards.
  2. Work with various materials and piping system components (stainless steel, steel, glass-lined, plastic, copper, fiber cast, soldering, solvent welding, threading, etc.).
  3. Achieve high process expertise to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including root cause analysis.
  4. Maintain steam traps, specialized valves, filtration systems, steam ejectors, and other equipment.
  5. Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  6. Use Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools effectively.
  7. Adapt to changing priorities flexibly.
  8. Possess experience or expertise in mechanical, HVAC equipment, and process controls (a plus).
  9. Maintain a clean work area and operate safely at all times.
  10. Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills.
  11. Read pipe and machine drawing specifications for layout planning.
  12. Understand piping codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids).
  13. Work effectively with minimal supervision.
  14. Know Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
  15. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team and customers/tenants.
  16. Be a team player, flexible, and willing to support other trades as needed.
  17. Be capable of walking, climbing stairs, or other mobility tasks.
  18. Wear protective clothing and PPE as per environment and regulations.
  19. Be certified to operate equipment like Man lift, Boom lift, fork truck, etc.
  20. Carry necessary hand tools for daily tasks.
