Job summary

American Contracting & Environmental Services (ACE) is seeking a Pipefitter to support field operations on water and wastewater projects. You will install piping, valves, pumps, and related equipment in the field, working with crews to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires reading drawings, assembling systems, and performing pipe testing, with emphasis on safety and quality. ACE is a hands-on, self-performing contractor with projects across VA and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of construction experience.
• At least 2 years specializing in pipefitting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with pipefitting tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install above ground piping systems, including supports and accessories.
• Install below ground piping systems while following safe excavation practices.
• Perform layout, preparation, and assembly of piping systems.
• Conduct pipe testing and follow proper procedures and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and work packages to guide installations.
• Install materials accurately based on layout and specifications.
• Operate and maintain pipefitting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Work alongside crews to support daily field operations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and in compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with team members to maintain productivity and workflow.
