Job summary

Ferguson in Richmond, VA is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate to join our Waterworks team. You will work in a warehouse and outdoors in the pipe yard, handling large piping and pulling outbound orders using a stand-up or sit-down forklift.

The role requires safety awareness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs by hand and more with equipment, and basic data entry. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with possible overtime, and pay ranges from $17.41 to $26.11 per hour.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE usage with a 400 lb weight capacity.
