Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate in Charlottesville to support inventory and order fulfillment in a busy yard environment. You will operate material handling equipment, pull and prepare orders for shipment, receive and stock materials, and assist with driver duties as needed.

Candidates should have warehouse experience, plumbing product knowledge or the willingness to learn, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory preferred.
• Forklift operator experience strongly preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment safely.
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material.
• Coordinate removal and replacement of worn components.
• Work with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for item receiving and stocking.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear PPE, including safety harness up to 400 lbs.
• May perform driver duties as needed.
