Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking experienced Industrial Combo Pipe Welders for a short-term steel mill shutdown in Pittsboro, IN. The position requires TIG roots with 7018 and 6010 fills, and 12-hour shifts on a ~60-hour project.

You must bring a TIG rig with helmet, stinger, ground, and all required hand tools, plus lockout/tagout equipment. Paid at $36/hour with a $120 per diem for days worked; prior shutdown experience and PPE compliance are essential for safe operation in a heavy industrial

Qualifications

• Previous industrial combo pipe welding experience
• Proficient in TIG and stick welding
• Experience welding with 6010 and 7018
• Ability to perform a TIG root with 7018 cover and cap
• Ability to perform a 6010 root with 7018 cover and cap
• Previous steel mill or industrial shutdown experience
• Must provide a welding helmet that attaches to a hard hat
• Must provide a TIG rig, including a TIG torch, flow meter, and hose
• Must provide a stinger, ground, and all required hand tools
• Must provide a keyed personal lock for lockout/tagout
• Must wear all required PPE and a safety harness
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Ability to pass all preemployment screening

Job description

Trillium Construction is now seeking experienced Industrial Combo Pipe Welders for a short-term steel mill shutdown project in Pittsboro, IN!

Combo Pipe Welders must be proficient in both TIG and stick welding, including 6010 and 7018. Welders will perform TIG roots with 7018 cover and cap, as well as 6010 roots with 7018 cover and cap. Candidates must have previous shutdown experience and be prepared to work safely and efficiently in a heavy industrial environment.

Project Details

• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Estimated End Date: October 9, 2026
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Hours: Approximately 60 hours
• Pay Rate: $36 per hour
• Per Diem: $120 for each day worked
