Job summary

Black & Veatch on Beech Island is seeking a skilled pipe welder to plan, lay out, weld, install, and repair pipe systems in accordance with plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards. You will use hand tools and flame-cutting equipment on structural components and install supports, valves and related items on site.

Minimum four years of pipe welding experience with the ability to pass tests on multiple procedures and codes is required.

Qualifications

• At least four years of pipe welding experience or equivalent in industrial construction.
• Ability to pass welding tests on multiple procedures and codes.
• Strong working knowledge of combo pipe welder craft and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld and install pipe components per plans and specifications; test installed systems and ensure quality.
• Operate hand and power tools for cutting, torching, and fabrication.
• Read and interpret plans, prints, and specifications to assemble components.
• Maintain safety procedures, document incidents, and coordinate with team on site.
