Job Description Purpose

Execute defined manufacturing processes to produce conforming parts while meeting safety, quality, and production expectations.

Core Job Responsibilities

Execute assigned manufacturing processes per standard work. Follow documented work instructions and inspection plans. Verify part conformance at point of use. Maintain safe work conditions and proper PPE usage. Record production, scrap, and downtime data in required systems. Escalate safety, quality, or process concerns immediately. Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Attendance & Reliability

Report to work during assigned schedule. Follow call-in protocol. Remain at workstation during working times.

Safety & Policy

Follow Victaulic’s Code of Conduct. Follow safety rules. Use required PPE. Stop work for safety concerns.

Quality

Follow inspection plans. Produce conforming parts. Stop work for defects.

Productivity

Meet production targets. Accurately record output in Mendix. Follow known cycle times.

Evaluation Metrics

Attendance – 15% Supervisor Evaluation / Feedback – 10% Mendix / Productivity – 25% Quality, Teamwork, and Safety (QTS) – 20% KPIs – 30%.

Skills and Responsibilities Performance evaluation, skill progression, and role advancement for all applicable positions are determined through a combination of documented system data and direct leadership validation. Mendix data is used to confirm productivity, attainment, and system usage. Supervisor, Lead, and Trainer feedback is used to validate safe operation, quality output, skill application, and readiness for progression during normal production conditions. No single data source determines performance outcomes. Final determinations are made through review of both operational data and leadership assessment and apply consistently across all roles and levels.

Welder / Fabricator – Level 1

Qualified in one Welder / Fabricator role.

Welder / Fabricator – Level 2

All Level 1 Requirements. Qualified in two Welder / Fabricator roles. At minimum, holds Level 2 in both roles.

Welder / Fabricator – Level 3

All Level 2 Requirements. Qualified in three or more Welder Fabricator roles. At minimum, holds Level 3 in three or more roles.

Welder / Fabricator - Lead

All Level 3 Requirements. Provide floor support to production teams. Support Victaulic Safety initiatives as an area representative. Support Victaulic FEM initiatives as an area representative. Assist Production supervisor’s day-to-day activities when needed. Balance production when required. Providing guidance / training to new welders. Reinforce knowledge / best practices to welders. Track training and reinforcement efforts. Weekly touchpoints with employees and observations reported to supervisors.
