MIELKE Mechanical Holdings, Inc. in Tampa, Florida is seeking a full-time Pipe Welder to join our team. The role offers a competitive wage with strong benefits and a focus on safety and quality.

This position requires proficiency in pipe welding, passing demanding welding tests (Pipe Stick and TIG SS), experience with carbon steel and stainless alloys, and the ability to read drawings and follow detailed work instructions. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass Pipe Stick test (2” SCH 160 SMAW 6G 6010/7018).
• Must pass TIG stainless steel pipe weld test.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless and alloys.
• Able to fit components into a weldment using drawings.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Follow detailed work instructions, verbal or written.
• Experience with oxy/acetylene cutting and hand plasma cutting.
• Knowledge of rigid pipe threading and Victaulic a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a welding test.
• ASME experience and certification is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Weld carbon steel, stainless, and alloys to required specs.
• Fit components into weldments using drawings and blueprints.
• Read drawings and follow work instructions to perform welds.
• Operate cutting tools including oxy/acetylene and plasma cutters.
• Proficiency with rigid pipe threading and Victaulic is a plus.
