Job summary

MSS Solutions in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Shop Welder to join our fabrication team. You will work with the shop foreman to meet production schedules, review drawings, set up materials, and perform welds using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes on piping components.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of pipe welding experience, pass a 6G in-house test, and provide their own hand tools. This role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' pipe welding experience (shop or field).
• Must pass in-house welding test (6G criteria).
• Must have own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet production schedule with Foreman and Superintendent.
• Set up and review drawings and materials for orders.
• Weld components per procedures and plans.
• Read Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) and weld accordingly.
• Operate welding equipment: MIG, TIG, Stick, flux-cored, plasma arc, SMAW.
• Inspect work for defects and ensure conformance to specs.
