Job summary

Dearing Compressor & Pump in Youngstown, OH is seeking a skilled welder to layout and weld pipe using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW per weld procedures. The role requires blueprint reading and precise measurements.

You will work in a manufacturing environment, read tapes, operate cranes, and support assembly teams. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K match, PTO, disability, life insurance, and a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• One year certificate or related training.
• 6G certification from prior employment.
• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple math.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to work as a team.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Knowledge of GMAW STT process.
• Knowledge of SMAW 6010 downhill welding.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Cleans weld joint or workpiece.
• Operation of overhead cranes.
• Rigging of workpiece, cut pipe to length using oxy-fuel torch or saw.
• Operate mechanical beveler.

Job Summary

Ability to layout and weld pipe together by a combination of, or by single process using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW to specified weld procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Ability to pass a drug test
• Knowledge of (GMAW) STT process (surface tension transfer)
• Knowledge of SMAW 6010 downhill welding
