Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to lead pipe stress analysis on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You will ensure schedule adherence and technical quality while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team across projects.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 5+ years of experience in pipe stress, and proficiency with FE-Pipe and NozzlePro. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pipe stress analysis and support design.
  • Proficient with FEA and software such as FE-Pipe and NozzlePro.
  • Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial projects.

We're looking for a Pipe Stress Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business . Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor'sdegreeinMechanicalEngineering or related field
  • At least5years ofrelevant engineeringexperience
  • At least2years of experience in pipe stress analysisandsupport design
  • Proficient with finite element analysis (FEA) and associatedsoftware such as FE-Pipe and NozzlePro
  • Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
  • Strong communicationskills,both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ideally,you’llalso have:
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Advancedexperience with AutoPIPE
  • Working knowledge of plastic pipe design and analysis
  • Working knowledgewith design tools such as Navisworks and AutoCAD
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $116,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
