Job summary

Mueller Environmental Designs is seeking an experienced Pipe Profiler Operator to operate and maintain the HGG SPC 3000 VC CNC pipe profiling system. You will read fabrication drawings, set up machine parameters, load materials, and ensure quality through the cutting process.

The role requires 10+ years in fabrication with automated pipe cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with welders and engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 10+ years in fabrication environment using automated pipe cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and verify dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Pipe Profiler HGG SPC 3000 VC with accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret drawings and customer specs to machine settings and cutting paths.
• Load pipe materials based on job requirements.
• Set up parameters including angles, bevels, feed rates, and rotation.
• Monitor cutting action, tool wear, and safety performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the Pipe Profiler 3000.
• Use calipers, tape measures, and laser alignment devices to verify accuracy.
• Identify and resolve machine operation and part production issues.
• Log job progress, material usage, and production notes per shop protocols.
• Coordinate with welders, fitters, and project managers to meet downstream needs.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and report defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Crosstrain with general CNC operations as needed.
• Provide log files of machine errors to HGG support.
