Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Laborer - Pipelayer for the San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant in Shiprock, New Mexico. The role involves placing, joining, aligning, wrapping and sealing pipe sections for water/gas mains and sewers, with use of hand and power tools as needed, on commercial, industrial or heavy civil sites.

You will support field crews performing physical labor and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections and other pipe types
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management
• Perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
