Job description

Job Title: Pipe Layer

Crisdel Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer knowledgeable in water lines, sanitary, and storm pipes. Reporting to the Foreman, the Pipe Layer will be responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines for road construction projects.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Laying out pipe routes according to specifications or blueprints, coordinating with supervisors.
  2. Cutting pipes to required lengths.
  3. Aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  4. Positioning pipes for welding or sealing.
  5. Checking slopes for conformance using levels or lasers.
  6. Sealing joints with welding equipment, cement, or glue.
  7. Tapping and drilling holes into pipes for auxiliary lines or devices.
  8. Covering pipes with earth or other materials.
  9. Grading and leveling trench bases with tamping machines and hand tools.
  10. Training others in pipe-laying techniques.
  11. Performing other general labor and construction duties as required.

Qualifications

  7. Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting at least 45 pounds, climbing, bending, and operating tools and equipment.
Working Conditions
  1. Possible overtime and weekend hours.
  2. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and dust.
  3. Physically capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs repeatedly.
