Job summary

Pipe Layer Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labor for pipe installation on construction sites
• General cleanup of the site
• Unload, handle and stockpile material
• Place, push, pull and shovel as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in OSHA standards
• Familiar with heavy equipment
• Willingness to learn and accept direction from supervisors
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-power tools
• Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time, multitask and prioritize
• Good attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies

Working Conditions

• Travel – This project is located in Charlotte, NC, with the potential for other locations throughout the Eastern Region.
• Construction site environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb; lift and carry material and objects; exposed to high noise levels.
