C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is hiring a pipe layer to assist operators in laying pipe at the correct location and grade on our projects. The role supports site operations and requires practical physical work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include setting up erosion control, loading materials, shoveling, maintaining grade stakes, and operating small equipment. A safety-minded team player is essential, with weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work weekends as needed.
• Previous construction or labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Team player attitude with a strong focus on safety and job quality.

Responsabilités

• Set up and maintenance of erosion control.
• Loading and unloading of materials.
• Shoveling and raking dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
• General clean up around job site.
• Checking and maintaining grade stakes.
• Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids.
• Operating small equipment such as compactors, tamps, pumps, generators and power brooms or any equipment the employee is able to operate.
• Maintenance of all equipment and tools.
