Job summary

McKenney’s, Inc. is seeking a seasoned foreman/project lead to review project documents, plan and execute work, and ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and safety requirements.

You will plan manpower and equipment, build strong customer relationships, and coordinate with PMs and field operations to deliver projects on time. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all sites, with responsibilities to review plans, communicate daily progress, and maintain accurate

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years in mechanical industry or completion of JATC apprenticeship with 5+ years in leadership/foreman role.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solving and planning orientation.
  • Ability to make key personnel decisions independently.
  • Dedicated and reliable with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work long hours if needed.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily plan and tasks for crews.
  • Supply tools and equipment for daily tasks.
  • Select manpower for projects in coordination with Field Operations and PM.
  • Address field and shop issues promptly.
  • Schedule shop and warehouse deliveries.
  • Coordinate with other trades on the project.
  • Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox talks.
  • Develop completion lists and minimize rework.
  • Update as-built drawings and payroll data daily.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and adjust plans as needed.
  • Review project plans and revise schedules accordingly.
