Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking skilled pipe fitters and welders to lay out, fabricate, and install pipe in field and fab shop settings. You will weld and assemble carbon steel and stainless fittings, read blueprints, and plan installation sequences across multiple job sites.

The role requires 3+ years of TIG/Stick welding experience, ASME testing, and the ability to work at heights with strict safety adherence. Drug tests and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding experience with TIG and Stick methods.
• ASME pipe welding test and background check required.
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and welding metallurgy.
• Field verify routing and pipe systems prior to fabrication.
• Ability to multi-task, follow instructions, and work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and isometric drawings.
• Measure routings and fabricate pipe to fit existing systems; use take-outs for spool pieces.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Cut pipe with port-a-band saw, reciprocating saw, pipe cutters, power saw, torch, or pipe cutting machine.
• Assemble, fabricate and install metal pipe and fittings for carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets and hangers; remove slag and rough spots.
• Determine welding method and ensure accuracy; work at heights and follow safety policies.
