Pipefitter/Welder Foreman
Our Pipe Fitter/Welder Foreman service independently performs diagnoses, repairs, maintenance, and installations of medium-sized to complex commercial and/or residential air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical systems/equipment. You will work with various tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under the guidance of project managers and superintendents. You will perform the responsibilities listed below, along with any other duties required by the position.
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems/equipment effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
- Proficiency with gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hand and power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and adhere to all safety requirements.
- Maintain ongoing education, licenses, and certifications as required.
- Stable work history demonstrating responsibility and professional growth.
- Effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and customers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, see (corrected or natural 20/20 vision), hear, and perform repetitive motions.
- Maintain concentration during physically demanding tasks, including tolerating extreme environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 20 to 80 pounds.
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, and pull.
- Work skillfully with both hands, including twisting, grasping, and feeling equipment and materials.
- Potential exposure to wet, slippery floors, chemicals, and sharp objects.
- Work 8-hour shifts on various surfaces such as dirt, carpet, concrete, wood, tile, or vinyl.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems through observation, testing, and setup.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment for servicing.
- Work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision to meet customer needs.
- Follow and give written and verbal instructions.
- Explain service charges and work performed to customers.
- Complete work orders, task lists, and documentation for invoicing.
- Order materials through the purchasing department.
- Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer.
- Reconcile work order documents, vendor slips, and timesheets for review.
