Job summary

Aerotek in West Memphis, AR is hiring a Pipe Fitter for a contract-to-hire role on industrial process piping projects. You will read ISOs and blueprints, lay out piping, cut to spec, assemble butt and socket weld joints, and prepare joints for welding.

Typical duties include piping layout, grinding, measurement accuracy, and collaboration with welders on site. Travel to greater Memphis area required; 6:30 a.m. start; safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pipefitting experience.
• Industrial experience with process piping systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/ISOs accurately.
• Proficient in pipe layout, fit-up and installation.
• Hands-on with butt/sockets weld joints and grinding for weld prep.
• Comfort working in team-based industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Read ISOs/blueprints to determine pipe layout and routing.
• Cut pipe to length using saws and hand tools per specs.
• Lay out piping on racks for welding focus.
• Assemble butt and socket weld joints for welding prep.
• Grind piping to prep joints and surfaces for high-quality welds.
• Accurately measure with tape measures and levels.
• Verify dimensions and alignment to project specs.
