Colwill Engineering, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Pipefitter Helper in the Orlando, FL area to join our team. This position performs the full range of helper level duties for pipefitting, welding, sheet metal in the construction field, finishing, repair, etc. of buildings. This position will develop and groom the applicant's skills in an array of mechanical areas.

We are currently offering a competitive range for this full-time position, Monday through Friday. (In-person)

What this Role will Do:

  • Assist in all areas of mechanical as a helper to the lead person.
  • Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed.
  • Install hangers and all related hardware through corridors, confined spaces and other large passages.
  • Install commercial sheet metal duct systems using a variety of equipment.
  • Install various types of metal duct, including (round, spiral, rectangular).
  • Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.
  • Install various types of units that vary in medium to large tonnage.
