  • Rate Range: $40.35 - $50.26
Qualifications
  • Must pass the Bennett mechanical comprehension test.
  • Graduate of high school, trade school, or other formal technical training with experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or HVAC.
  • Effective reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Must possess an MVD license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic skills in Distribution or Fitting work.
  • Ability to interpret drawings or prints and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Mandatory progression to Pipe Fitter A within 18 months.
  • Successful completion of a written test and field observation audit required.
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting and manual labor.
Duties
  • Coordinate and perform assigned work.
  • Assist in installing, changing, relocating, and removing meters; maintain piping, meter connections, and service regulators.
  • Install, repair, and maintain gas, water, vent, and other piping.
  • Work semi-independently within 12 months.
  • Ensure safety and quality in all work performed.
  • Organize and maintain tools and equipment; manage truck stock.
  • Perform miscellaneous Fitter Division tasks as needed.
  • Assist Serviceman and perform other manual work as required.
  • Perform duties of Meter Representative A.

Note: Essential functions are identified. This is a DOT Safety Sensitive Position requiring compliance with drug and alcohol regulations, and possibly passing a Respiratory Fit Test.
