Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems to ensure their smooth operation.
  2. Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems using various materials, including pipes, gauges, filters, traps, and valves.
  3. Consult blueprints, schematics, and work orders; create work procedures based on specifications.
  4. Gather equipment and materials required for each job.
  5. Perform welding, cutting, bending, threading, soldering, and fitting of pipes.
  6. Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets or clamps, and prepare holes prior to installation.
  7. Install insulation and pipe coverings, and safely remove old coverings following hazardous waste procedures and EPA/OSHA standards.
  8. Inspect pipes for pressure and leaks; report and resolve issues.
  9. Coordinate with management to schedule maintenance, repairs, and installations, minimizing operational disruptions.
  10. Comply with safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  11. Maintain safety logs and inspection records.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational training is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with tools such as blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding equipment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Prolonged standing and stretching during installation and repair tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to inspect piping systems and read blueprints.
