Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. in Houston seeks a Pipe Fitter to assemble and repair pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures, ensuring correct placement and alignment per drawings and instructions.

The role requires reading isometrics, welding with GTAW and GMAW, a safety-conscious mindset, and the ability to work under general supervision in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate preferred with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Must read and understand isometrics and pipe fittings.
• Knowledge of pipe ISO standards and welding processes (GMAW/GTAW).
• Able to work under supervision and handle time-sensitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Department: Fabrication Planning & Production Control

Summary

The Pipe Fitter will assemble and repair pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures. Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Must have general knowledge of all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
• Reads and understands isometric drawings.
• Bridge tacks in GTAW on stainless.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
• Must align with Enerflex visions and values.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 1 to 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
• Minimum of 1 – 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
• Must have general knowledge of pipe ISO’s.
• Must be qualified in GMAW and GTAW.
• Demonstrates knowledge on the pipe fitting processes for industrial piping.
• Requires some oversight, but demonstrates some competence on degrees and more complex fitups.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works under general supervision.

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
