Job summary

Plasser American Corp. is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to assist in planning, layout, fabrication and installation of hydraulic and pneumatic piping in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on measuring, cutting, fabricating and installing piping per job specs.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, following diagrams, and ensuring proper hose connections while supporting team-based workflow. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, two-year college degree or technical school certificate; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
• Basic pipe fitting knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints/diagrams.

Salary Range: $24.25 To $34.17 Annually

General Scope

Assists in the planning, the layout, fabrication and installation of hydraulic and pneumatic piping based on job specifications

Position Summary

Education

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


• Ability to follow, basic hydraulic schematic drawings, and engineering blueprints.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


• Capable of working in a team environment.


• Ability to use hand and CNC pipe benders.


• $3000 sign on bonus
