Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Bundler to work alongside fabrication shop teammates to offload pipe, inspect pipe, and prepare pipe to be assembled and banded, while adhering to blueprints and sketches provided.

Duties include daily offloading and transporting pipe, performing QC procedures such as dye penetrant testing on welds and inspecting grooves, and assisting with assembly and fittings per prints, with strong math and basic computer use required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Experience in fabrication shop or factory setting is a plus.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Offload pipe daily and transport to the correct location.
• Perform QC procedures such as dye penetrant testing on welds and inspect grooves; prepare and paint rusty or welded material and alert supervisor of discrepancies.
• Assist with assembly and make-on couplings/fittings and ensure they are assembled to print/sketch.
• Review job information sheets and technical instructions and process jobs accordingly.
• Operate the pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable.
• Input information into computer system and read data to perform the job accurately.
• Strong math skills frequently used.
