Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Fabrication Associate in Texas. The role involves setting up and maintaining shop machines for pipe fabrication, measuring and cutting pipe lengths, and handling pipe within the yard.

You will operate band saws and torches, follow OSHA guidelines, and contribute to safe, efficient fabrication processes. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Monday–Friday, with applicable shift differentials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of fabrication experience preferred.
• Outstanding math skills and ability to calculate quantities on hand.
• Experience operating machinery for cutting and threading pipe per OSHA regulations preferred.
• Ability to remain results-focused in fast-paced customer service environments.
• Thrive in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
• Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe lengths.
• Measure and cut pipe with band saw and/or torch; roll and groove pipe lengths; threading and beveling with Landis machines.
• Move loose and bundled pipe within the pipe yard.
• Assemble pipe orders, in sticks or bundles, and keep supplies organized.
• Observe safety precautions for fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking and shipping of pipe.
• Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures.
