Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a Loader Operator with sewer and water experience to support pipe layers and the foreman on sanitary, watermain, and storm projects. You will coordinate materials, maintain jobsite safety, and keep workflows organized, including switching between loader and backfill excavator.

Requirements include 3+ years in sewer/water, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work varied hours. High school diploma or GED preferred; Class A CDL desired but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Sewer and Water.
• Must be able to operate loader and backfill excavator.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member are required.
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required.
• Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support pipe layers, operators, and foreman and maintain organized workflow.
• Operate loader and assist in transitions between loader and backfill excavator.

The Position:

We are looking for a Loader Operator pipe laying and sewer/water experience. This role supports pipe layers, operators, and the foreman by coordinating all materials to install sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes, maintaining jobsite safety and cleanliness, and ensuring materials and workflow stay organized and efficient. Must be able to go in between a loader and a backfill excavator
