Job summary

PURIS is seeking an Equipment Operator to support pipe bursting and underground utility rehabilitation projects in Sunrise, FL. The role involves operating excavators, backhoes, air compressors, and related equipment, while assisting with trench work and equipment setup.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Pipe Bursting Supervisor, follow safety policies, and contribute to safe, efficient project completion on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years heavy equipment operation.
• Experience with underground utilities.
• Knowledge of construction equipment operation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain excavators, backhoes, air compressors, and related equipment.
• Dig launch pits and receiving pits; excavate for service reconnections.
• Set and position pipe bursting equipment; load and unload pipe and materials.
• Assist with trench backfill and site restoration.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations on site.
• Support pipe bursting operations and equipment setup.
• Inspect and perform basic equipment maintenance daily.
