What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle moderately complex first-party Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Medical Pay claims
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle medical expense and PIP claims
- Make coverage determinations and inform customers of appropriate actions
- Manage claims involving additional suffixes like income continuation and essential services
- Present coverage issues to the committee as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1-2 years of claims experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Required to obtain and/or maintain multiple Adjuster’s Licenses within the first 90 days of employment
- Solid understanding of insurance coverages
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong computer navigation abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience handling PIP claims and first-party medical coverage
- Knowledge or experience with collision, loss-of-use, third-party property damage, and bodily injury exposures
- Flexibility to work any shift during operating hours from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Bilingual skills are a plus
