Spotify is seeking Research Scientists across all seniorities to advance state-of-the-art generative AI for music. You will conduct research in vocal synthesis, post-training alignment, and audio-to-audio generation while collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers.

You’ll publish findings, participate in conferences, and contribute to products used by hundreds of millions of listeners weekly.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Publications at leading conferences in AI or ML are preferred.
• Strong coding skills in Python, PyTorch, and NumPy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct groundbreaking research in generative audio using diffusion or flow matching models.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate research into product features.
• Run large-scale experiments with access to extensive infrastructure.
• Publish findings and present at top conferences in the field.
• Develop practical applications leveraging generative AI for music listening experiences.
