We have an exciting opportunity for aPioneer Seeds Field Agronomist serving Northern and Eastern Virginia. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere withinthe geography listed above.If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop annual agronomic plot and training plans for both internal and external audiences within assigned territories for Pioneer product lines, including corn, canola, and soybeans.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of product management information to assigned territories that optimizes Pioneer seed products by environment and management to drives sales.
  • Deliver “Train the Trainer” activities and content on product knowledge and innovative agronomy for corn, canola, and soybean.
  • Provide structured product management training to sellers (primarily retail) that enables them to improve Pioneer seed positioning with growers. Coordinating field training by territory with CORE plots will help provide retail with local training by environment x management for retail locations.
  • Coordinate information/notes and observations related to the performance and management of Pioneer brand seed products including Product Knowledge Plot (PKP) programs.
  • Implement Pioneer brand plot strategy to support sales efforts as well as reinforce product understanding within assigned territories.
  • Develop and implement NA andSouthernagronomic strategy to assist with driving customer influence to help bring agronomic topics forward within assigned territories.
  • Assist retail by supporting key grower calls to drive demand of Pioneer products assisting with product placement and positioning on the farm
  • Assist in resolving customer service calls involving product performance and/or agronomic issues when unable to be resolved by local sales teams.
  • Deliver pertinent agronomy communications to the market to support Corteva products and drive agronomy knowledge

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A Master's Degree in Agronomy or equivalent is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of agronomy experience and proven abilities
  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, and influence
  • Strong agronomy and knowledge of crop production practices
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check
