Job summary

Olé Mexican Foods, Inc. is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Driver in San Antonio, TX. You will power Direct Store Delivery (DSD) across stores, acting as the face of Olé in the local market.

You will manage your route, merchandise displays, and build strong relationships with retail partners, delivering our tortillas and maintaining equipment. The role emphasizes independent field work, safety, and retail execution, with opportunities for comprehensive training on mobile delivery technology

Qualifications

• DSD experience in grocery environments.
• Experience using handheld devices and mobile printers for invoices and inventory records.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to perform daily physical work (loading/unloading, stocking).
• Must be 23+ for fleet insurance; punctual and reliable.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and merchandise Olé products to major grocery chains and stores.
• Set up displays and organize inventory for visibility.
• Generate invoices and log travel hours using handheld devices.
• Plan routes to avoid delays and ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain vehicle with daily DVIRs and keep it clean.
• Communicate route status and vehicle needs with management.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused PIO Route Sales Driver to power our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations across the Abilene area. In this role, you aren’t just a delivery driver—you are the face of Olé in local grocery stores. You will manage your own route schedule, transport our famous tortillas, and build positive relationships with retail partners. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Deliver Excellence: Safely load, transport, and unload premium Olé products and merchandising materials to major grocery chains and independent stores according to your route schedule.
• Merchandising & Presentation: Ensure our products look their best on store shelves by setting up vibrant cardboard displays and organizing inventory for maximum visibility.
• Manage Route Logistics: Utilize handheld devices and printers to seamlessly generate store invoices, manage product credits, and log accurate travel hours.
• Navigate Smartly: Optimize your daily travel routes to bypass construction or traffic congestion, ensuring timely store arrivals.
• Maintain Your Ride: Perform routine daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and keep your company vehicle clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Be a Reliable Partner: Maintain proactive communication with management regarding vehicle needs, route status, or in-store feedback.

What You Bring (Requirements & Experience)

• DSD & Grocery Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) systems inside chain or independent grocery environments.
• Tech-Comfortable: Prior experience using handheld devices and mobile printers to process invoices and inventory records.
• Driving Credentials: A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to road safety regulations.
• Physical Capability: Comfort with daily physical work, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles and stocking store displays.
• Age & Reliability: Must be 23 years of age or older (for fleet insurance compliance), highly punctual, and deeply reliable.
• Languages: Excellent communication skills; Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus!
