Sila, a next-generation battery materials company, seeks a Pilot Production Manager in Alameda, CA to lead the Silicon Anode production lines. You will drive execution, reporting, and continuous improvement to deliver on-time material to high-profile customers.

Lead a safe, high-performing team, own asset reliability, and implement Lean initiatives while partnering with engineering, maintenance, and Finance to optimize production and reduce variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong background in chemical or materials manufacturing operations.
• Lean Manufacturing principles applied to production processes.
• Mentoring, coaching and training skills for talent development.
• Hands-on problem-solving and line-side troubleshooting.
• Effective communication and cross-functional facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize Alameda manufacturing operations, driving discipline and strategic initiatives.
• Act as plant asset owner, managing MOC processes and reliability initiatives.
• Build a safe, high-performing team with structured hiring and training.
• Streamline workstreams and systems for an efficient production environment.
• Partner with supply planning and Finance to optimize production planning and inventory.
• Set expectations, track metrics, and support direct reports through obstacles.
