Job summary

Cross Resource Group is seeking a Process Engineer in Texas to provide hands-on process development and operational support for chemical pilot plant projects. This role blends process engineering, data analysis, troubleshooting, and plant design.

You will work with operations and engineering teams to generate data, perform mass and energy balances, and prepare technical reports while supporting safe, efficient plant startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
0 years of experience required; up to 2 years preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret process and operating data.
Ability to perform mass balances and thermodynamic calculations.
Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to participate in hands-on construction and troubleshooting of process systems.
Willingness to work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide process engineering support for ongoing chemical pilot plant projects.
Compile and analyze process and operating data.
Generate technical reports, data summaries, and engineering documentation.
Develop mass balances and perform process calculations using Excel and other tools.
Work closely with operations to generate process data and products.
Operate pilot plant equipment as part of a shift team.
Troubleshoot process equipment and operating issues.
Assist with installation, modification, and startup of equipment.
Support maintenance, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
Develop and revise safety and operating procedures.
