Responsibilities

MTSI is currently hiring a Pilot Interoperability subject matter expert (SME) with a TS/SCI clearance to support a Government Office at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and defining requirements. They will work closely with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to provide innovative solutions for early development weapon systems and sub-systems. This position is in the Hampton, VA area, and requires a deep understanding of USAF fighter operations.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Serve as the technical expert on integration across multiple systems in support of the Systems Management Office (SMO)
• Perform as an Operational SME across mission systems, such as radar, weapons, electronic warfare, sensor fusion, electro-optical and infrared imaging, communications, and navigation and integration for fighter-like autonomous aircraft
• Provide requirements analysis and technical oversight and guidance to ensure interoperability and interconnectivity of the weapons system as well as informing the complete spectrum of operational training
• Analyze near and long term objectives to create requirements pertaining to modernization and integration of new capability
• Support oversight of weapon system configuration following established MAJCOM and weapon system procedures while coordinating future USAF fighter capability across requirements development, acquisition, development and test


Qualifications

Qualifications Required:


• 8 or more years of operational flying with a detailed understanding and knowledge of operational concepts and current AF tactics.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to use creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems; apply competency in evolving, complicated situations within the ever-changing environments.
• Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment · Excellent organizational and time management skills · Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance. Duties will require unescorted entry and work within classified SAP and SCI facilities.
• Experience in aircraft modernization, modern fighter systems and weapons capability/integration
• Minimum of 4 years of SAP experience within the last 6 years required

• Bachelor's degree

• MAJCOM staff experience
• Weapons school experience

Clearance Requirements:


• Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI
• Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements.
• Travel: Position requires up to 15% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas
