Xcel Energy is seeking a Pilot-in-Command to operate flights with strict adherence to federal and company policies. The role requires maintaining airworthiness, filing flight plans, and ensuring safety for passengers; you will lead preflight and postflight procedures and coordinate with crews.

Based near Centennial Airport, the position demands precise documentation, ongoing training, and strong customer service mindset to support reliable energy delivery. Residency within 2 hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ATP multiengine rating.
• FAA Medical certificate (Class 1 or 2) is required.
• Total fixed wing hours 2000, 500 turbojet, 1000 PIC.
• Three years professional pilot experience and knowledge of GOM, SMS, AFM, QRH, ERP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC or SIC as assigned and support flight operations.
• Ensure airworthiness, inspections, docs onboard, and address discrepancies.
• Prepare and file flight plans and weight/balance calculations.
• Review weather at destination, enroute, and alternates; use MEL and checklists.
• Supervise air/ground crew and ensure safety and passenger comfort.
• Conduct safety briefings and postflight inspections; log flights accurately.
• Complete all required forms, logs, reports, expenses, LMS entries, and maintain aviation knowledge.
