Job summary

ACI Jet seeks a Challenger 605 Captain to pilot Part 91/135 flights from the San Luis Obispo area, serving clients with professionalism and safety. You will report to the ACM and collaborate with crews, vendors, and staff to maintain high service standards.

Requirements include extensive flight time, PIC experience, instrument rating, and a strong safety culture. This full-time position requires residing within 90 minutes of KSBO and may include travel and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3,500 hours total time.
• 2,000 hours PIC required.
• 1,500 hours multi-engine experience.
• 300 hours instrument rating.
• CL-604 Type Rating highly desired.
• ATP certificate with English proficiency endorsement.
• Must meet ICAO Annex I, Section 2.1.10.
• First Class Medical.
• US Passport.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years aviation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate ACI Jet aircraft in a safe and efficient manner per all rules and manuals.
• Coordinate with Flight Dispatch to meet flight goals and policies.
• Provide exceptional courtesy and customer service to clients.
• Ensure Electronic Flight Bag(s) are current with nav data.
• Stay current with ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual sections.
• Perform thorough preflight inspections including aircraft, docs, equipment, fuel, weather, and runways.

A Challenger 605 Captain is responsible for performing duties as a Part 91/135 aircraft pilot in a safe and efficient manner. This position will include operating the aircraft on behalf of Executive Jet Management (EJM) Part 135 Certificate while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors, and clients.

The Challenger 605 Captain will report directly to the account Lead Captain (Aircraft and Crew Manager - ACM). This position is based at the San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP) and residing within a 2-hour drive-time of KSBP is required.

What You’ll Do

• Operates ACI Jet aircraft in a safe and efficient manner while in compliance with all company rules and regulations, manufacturers’ limitations and manuals, governmental rules and regulations, and any other requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the flight.
• Coordinate with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch personnel to ensure that the goals and objectives relating to assigned flight operations are achieved and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Provide unparalleled courtesy, professionalism and customer service to ACI Jet Charter clients and owners.
• Ensures that Electronic Flight Bag(s) (EFB) are kept current with the latest navigation and application dates.
• Remain knowledgeable relative to the applicable portions of the ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
• Ensure that a proper preflight inspection has been accomplished prior to takeoff including but not limited to the aircraft, its publications, documentation, equipment, passenger service items, fuel, weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points, customs, permits, and airport/runway suitability.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or have 3-5 years of professional aviation experience.
• Must be willing to live within 90 minutes of San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP)
• Must be highly motivated and organized
