Job summary

ACI Jet, based near San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP), seeks a Challenger 605 Captain to pilot Part 91/135 flights with EJM. The role demands high professionalism, safety, and customer service while maintaining operational excellence.

You will manage preflight checks, coordinate with dispatch, and ensure regulatory compliance. A Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years aviation experience is expected; 90-minute from KSBP preferred.

Qualifications

• Total flight hours 3,500+ required.
• PIC time 2,000+ hours.
• 1,500 hours multiengine and 300 hours instrument.
• CL-604 type rating highly desired.
• ATP certificate with English proficiency.
• Must meet ICAO Annex I requirements.
• First Class Medical.
• Passport holder.

Responsibilities

• Operates ACI Jet aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with Flight Dispatch to meet flight goals and procedures.
• Provide exceptional courtesy, professionalism and customer service to clients and owners.
• Keep Electronic Flight Bag(s) current with navigation data and updates.
• Stay current with ACI Jet Operations Manual requirements.
• Perform thorough preflight inspections covering aircraft, docs, equipment, fuel and weather.

A Challenger 605 Captain is responsible for performing duties as a Part 91/135 aircraft pilot in a safe and efficient manner. This position will include operating the aircraft on behalf of Executive Jet Management (EJM) Part 135 Certificate while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors, and clients.

The Challenger 605 Captain will report directly to the account Lead Captain (Aircraft and Crew Manager - ACM). This position is based at the San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP) and residing within a 2-hour drive-time of KSBP is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Operates ACI Jet aircraft in a safe and efficient manner while in compliance with all company rules and regulations, manufacturers’ limitations and manuals, governmental rules and regulations, and any other requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the flight.
• Coordinate with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch personnel to ensure that the goals and objectives relating to assigned flight operations are achieved and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Provide unparalleled courtesy, professionalism and customer service to ACI Jet Charter clients and owners.
• Ensures that Electronic Flight Bag(s) (EFB) are kept current with the latest navigation and application dates.
• Remain knowledgeable relative to the applicable portions of the ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
• Ensure that a proper preflight inspection has been accomplished prior to takeoff including but not limited to the aircraft, its publications, documentation, equipment, passenger service items, fuel, weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points, customs, permits, and airport/runway suitability.

Requirements

HERE'S THE TYPE OF PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 3,500 hours total time
• 2,000 hours PIC
• 1,500 hours multi-engine
• 300 hours instrument
• CL-604 Type Rating highly desired
• Pilot’s Certificate (ATP) with an English proficient endorsement
• Must meet the requirements of ICAO Annex I, Section 2.1.10
• First Class Medical
• Valid United States Passport
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or have 3-5 years of professional aviation experience.
• Must be willing to live within 90 minutes of San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP)
• Must be highly motivated and organized
