Job summary

Piling Project Manager role in Suffolk for a major contractor's piling and ground engineering arm. You will manage a variety of piling, ground engineering and D Walling packages on a multi-million pound project, reporting to the Ops Director and leading site teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive PM experience in civil engineering, piling and earthworks, with a degree and proven leadership of project teams. The package includes a car or allowance, pension and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience at project manager level on civil engineering schemes.
• Experience in piling, earthworks and ground engineering.
• Degree qualified with ability to lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Profitably complete projects per client specs and ensure satisfaction.
• Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-re sourcing effectively.
• Coordinate interfaces with other division parts and manage safety.
• Prepare cost value and contract status reports with commercial staff.
• Support value engineering and tendering with lessons learnt.

A major contractors specialist piling and ground engineering arm is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to manager a variety of Piling / Ground Engineering / D Walling packages on a multi million pound project in Suffolk . Working as part of the management team, reporting to the Ops Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agent, Engineers, Foreman and Sub Contractors.

The ideal person:

• Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes


• Previous experience of Piling, civil, earthworks, and ground Engineering


• Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team

Responsibilities:

• To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction


• Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner


• Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division


• Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely


• Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff


• Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients


• To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance companies reputation and look to further business


• To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager
