Job summary

M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking a Pile Driver Operator to operate and maintain pile driving equipment in accordance with Mortenson safety policies.

Responsibilities include following safety regulations, performing routine maintenance, and monitoring equipment for malfunctions. Qualifications include at least one year of related experience, equipment certifications, and a valid driver’s license with endorsements.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills; open to diverse input and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area.
• Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
• Operate Vermeer PD10 per requirements on site.
