Job summary

Kokosing is seeking experienced Pile Drivers to operate pile driving equipment in Chesapeake, VA; Hopewell, VA; and Baltimore, MD. The role involves driving pilings for walls, bulkheads and foundations as part of heavy civil construction projects.

Applicants should have marine pile driving experience with concrete, H-pile and pipe piles; AWS welding certification is preferred, and English language proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine pile driving operations including concrete pile, H-pile, and pipe pile.
• AWS Welding certificate preferred.
• Understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as bridges and piers.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment.
• Drive pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head.
• Move levers and controls to position piling leads and operate hammers over pilings.
