Kokosing is seeking experienced Pile Drivers for operations in Chesapeake, VA; Hopewell, VA; and Baltimore, MD. The role involves operating pile drivers on heavy equipment to drive pilings and support structures such as bridges and piers.

Candidates should have marine pile driving experience and understand English; AWS Welding certification is preferred. The posted base pay is $26.00–$30.00 per hour, with standard industry requirements and safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine pile driving operations including concrete, H-pile, and pipe piles.
• AWS Welding certificate preferred.
• Understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as bridges and piers.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment.
• Drive pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head.
• Move hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings.
• Move levers and turns valves to activate power hammers, or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive pile to required depths.
