Kokosing seeks experienced Pile Drivers for projects in Chesapeake, VA; Hopewell, VA; and Baltimore, MD. You will operate pile drivers mounted on various platforms to drive pilings for foundations and structures such as bridges and piers.

Responsibilities include pre‑op checks, routine maintenance, and precise maneuvering of equipment to position piling leads and drive pilings to depth. AWS Welding certificate preferred for skilled applicants.

With over $2.8 billion in annual sales and a commitment to its workforce, Kokosing is the winning team.**Job Description:**We are seeking experienced **Pile Drivers** in the following areas:**Chesapeake, VA****Hopewell, VA****Baltimore, MD** **SUMMARY**Operates pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as bridges and piers. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools;* Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning;* Cleans, lubricates, and refills equipment;* Drives pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head;* Moves hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings;* Moves levers and turns valves to activate power hammers, or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive pile to required depths. **QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply concepts of geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations. Expected base hourly range for this position is: $26.00 -$30.00 This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
