Job summary

Kokosing is seeking experienced Pile Drivers to operate heavy pile-driving equipment in the Richmond, VA area. You will drive pilings for bridges, walls, piers and foundations, perform pre-operational checks, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawlers, or cranes to drive pilings for structures.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Position piling leads and operate hammers to drive piles to required depths.
• Move levers, operate valves to control power hammers and drop hammers.
• Maintain safety and follow project guidelines.

Other duties may be assigned.* Skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools;* Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning;* Cleans, lubricates, and refills equipment;* Drives pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head;* Moves hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings;* Moves levers and turns valves to activate power hammers, or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive pile to required depths. **QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Expected base hourly range for this position is: $26.00 -$30.00 This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
