Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking a Pilates Reformer Coach to lead engaging classes for adults 18+. You’ll design workouts, cue proper form, and tailor modifications to diverse fitness levels while promoting a welcoming club experience.

Responsibilities include teaching reformer sequences, ensuring safety, participating in events, and guiding members to explore programs and amenities that support their fitness goals. A $500 hiring/retention bonus applies after 90 days and 24 qualifying classes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Pilates Reformer certification from a company-approved accredited training program required.
• Successful completion of a teaching audition is required as part of the selection process.
• Ability to provide clear, motivating instruction and adapt coaching to different fitness levels and abilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a welcoming, professional approach to member interactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage class time effectively, and stay organized in a dynamic club environment.
• Positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to teamwork and continued learning.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead motivating Pilates Reformer classes with sequencing, transitions, and clear cues.
• Coach proper form and equipment use with appropriate modifications.
• Observe and adjust instruction for safe participation and progress.
• Demonstrate exercises and equipment setup with proper form.
• Create a welcoming environment through authentic instruction and encouragement.
• Build relationships with members before and after class to foster community.
• Introduce members to additional classes and club amenities.
• Promote club events and engage members through conversations and social activities.
• Ensure proper access to paid programming per club procedures.
• Report safety or maintenance concerns for equipment.
• Arrange qualified substitute coverage for planned absences.
• Maintain a safe, organized class environment following policies.
• Address questions professionally and escalate as needed.
• Complete tasks and training on time and attend required meetings.
• Collaborate with coaching team and support peers.
